Ragnarok Online designer, Hakkyu Kim speaks to Gamasutra that he was making a new MMO with Ragnarok styled but not a sequel to the ragnarok, because the distribution rights to Ragnarok held by Gravity.

When the event Gstar 2009, Kim said : “One is an MMORPG with a more basic structure, one character to control, but with some deeper, weirder stuff thrown in there. The other title is more niche. It’ll be a 2D cross 3D game in the Ragnarok style. It’ll be pretty different from other games. I’m moving in both directions.”

Hakkyu Kim is a the designer for the game Granado Espada (Sword of the New World). This could be great news for fans of Ragnarok styled game. Is this game will be big hits like Granado Espada and Ragnarok made by Hakkyu Kim?
